PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Ms. Morgenthaler has over 15 years of experience in behavioral health services. She is the founder and Executive Director of Gateway to Success, a behavioral health organization. She divides her time between direct service, healthcare management, state level committees, and clinical supervision. She is a Member of the Domestic Violence Offender Management Board representing Domestic Violence Providers/Mental Health Professionals and the Chair for the Application Review Committee since 1/2018. She is a governor appointed member of the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) since 1/2020. She earned her Certified Addictions Counselor in 2008; later earning her Master’s degree in social work through Newman University in 2009. She holds a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and is a DVOMB Clinical Supervisor. Karen has been a part of MTT as a DV Provider and Supervisor since the current Standards came into effect in 2010. Her educational background, years of experience and commitment to the field have contributed to developing a robust multidisciplinary team that serve three counties. Her passion is focused on navigating systems of care and linking individuals to services to help them through rehabilitation to reduce recidivism and increase victim safety.
